I took this photograph in Kruger National Park, South Africa. We had a few beautiful wildlife sightings that morning in May, and had stopped to eat breakfast at one of the picnic spots. As I walked around(with my camera of course) I came across these seed pods. The flowers had already died and the resulting seed pods were beautiful with the sun-soaked velt grasses behind them. The play of light and shadow captured and mesmerized me. I took a couple different photographs and this was my favorite.
