An afternoon in the Dahlias

Abstract Dahlia photography

I spent a little while photographing some dahlias last week. I spent almost as much time photographing the insects as I did photographing the flowers.

I don't think I'd ever seen so many bees in one place. There were as many as 5 on one flower. Normally the bees would scare me a bit, but in this case they were far more interested in the flowers then they were in me.
